A standard booking includes 3 men and one 28' Truck In the event an employee becomes ill the crew size and rate will be reduced to 2 men. After 10 consecutive hours, the hourly rate increased to 1.50 times the standard rate. Mike's Moving reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of men quoted at the time of booking due to working conditions (i.e. weather, walk-up/down units, distance from house to truck, etc.). If additional men and additional trucks are required, an additional fee will apply. Please discuss rates with office. Charges are calculated from the time our vehicle leaves our warehouse yard until the estimated time of arrival back to our warehouse yard. All moves outside 35km of Chatham are subject to a mileage charge from our facility to the return to our facility. Any discounts offered are not applicable to these charges. The only guaranteed start time Mike's Moving can offer is at 8:00 a.m. as this is the standard start time for our company. As it often occurs where more than one move is booked for the same day, Mike's Moving can only provide an estimated arrival time of the crew and cannot he held accountable to the timing as we must complete one job before we can continue to another job. Please call the office for current rates.3. Declared Valuation Mike's Moving hereby agrees that is properly licensed and insured under applicable laws. Unless otherwise arranged, all moves travel at released valuation which is included in our hourly rate. We offer replacement value protection for an additional fee but this must be purchased prior to the date of your move. 4. Particle Board/Ready-To-Assemble Furniture In order to be moved safely, particle board furniture should be disassembled and emptied prior to our arrival. If you choose not to disassemble the furniture, we will exercise all reasonable care in its handling and transport. Due to the inherent nature of particle board, however, we will not be liable for any damages that are the result of normal handling. This includes, but is not limited to, broken joints, shelf connections and broken leg/foot inserts. 5. Methods of Payment Final charges can be paid by cash, Visa or MasterCard on the day of the move unless invoicing arrangements have been made with our office prior to moving. We cannot accept e-transfers or cheques on move day. 6. Items of Value We strongly recommend that items of value such as personal papers, passports, jewelry, money, etc. be carried with you. 7. Material Charge Note: A $15.00 charge plus H.S.T. will be added to your move to cover the costs of incidentals such as tape and shrink wrap. 8. Wardrobes Wardrobes are available for the purchase price of $32.00/wardrobe plus HST. You must make Mike's Moving aware if you require wardrobes as we normally do not carry a supply on the truck. 9. Electronic Devices/ Specialty Items Electronic devices such as stereo components and flat-screen T. V's should be securely packed and protected. Specialty items such as mechanical beds, gym equipment, grandfather clocks, and pool tables must be properly prepped for moving. We will not assume any responsibility for damage to these items if they are not. 10. Packing Service If Mike's Moving does not provide a packing service, the customer is obligated to pack property into appropriate boxes and other containers. Mike's Moving will not be responsible for damaged goods in owner packed containers or non-packed items that should be packed. 11. Appliances/Contents of Cabinets or dresser drawers All appliances should be disconnected, drained, and prepped for moving. It is the customers responsibility to disconnect any water lines, ice makers, and gas lines. Freezers should be emptied. Front Load washer and dryers should have stabilizing bolts in place. All drawers should have contents packed in appropriate boxes. 12.
